Measure the Path First
Before anything moves, Francis checks the doorways, corners and the recess. If it only just went in, we plan how it comes out cleanly.

Disconnect and Drain
Fridges are switched off and given time where possible, washers are disconnected and hoses drained so nothing leaks on the carpet or in the truck.

Strap and Trolley
The appliance goes on a proper trolley, strapped upright, with a spotter on the tight sections. No dragging, no walking it corner to corner.

Load It Standing
Fridges and freezers travel upright and secured so the compressor is happy at the other end. It goes back exactly where you want it.

Yes, please empty it and defrost it the night before if you can. An empty, dry fridge is lighter, safer to move and will not drip through your home or the truck.
We can disconnect a standard washer and drain the hoses as part of the move. For anything hard-plumbed or gas, a licensed tradesperson should handle the final connection at the other end.
That is exactly why we measure the path before lifting. If a doorway is genuinely too tight, we work out the best route or which piece to take off, rather than forcing it and marking the frame.
