Piano Removals in Perth
The Lift Is the Hard Bit. We've Got It.
Upright, grand or digital, a piano is too heavy and too valuable to trust to a general crew. Francis has the proper gear and 19 years of knowing exactly how a piano moves.

What Piano Removals Involve
A piano is the one piece in the house that punishes a careless move. It's heavy, top-loaded and worth a fortune, and the damage from a bad lift is usually permanent.
It's also a job most general removalists quietly dread. The roll across the floor is easy, but the lift up the steps and into the truck is where pianos get dropped and people get hurt.
Francis has the trolleys, the straps and 19 years of knowing how a piano actually moves. Upright, grand or digital, it's strapped, padded and handled by someone who's done it hundreds of times.

Every Kind of Piano, Moved With Care
Uprights, grands and digitals each move differently. We bring the right gear and method for whatever's sitting in your lounge.
Upright Pianos
The most common Perth piano move. Wrapped, eased onto a four-wheel piano dolly and walked through doorways and down steps by two people who know how the weight shifts.
Grand & Baby Grands
A grand is a different animal, often moved on its side on a piano skid with the legs and lyre off. We handle the dismantle, the wrap and the lift so the cabinet and action stay safe.
Digital & Keyboard Pianos
Lighter than an acoustic but still awkward and easy to crack. Stands broken down, keys padded and the unit boxed or blanket-wrapped so it travels without a scratch.
Pianos Up & Down Stairs
Stairs are where piano moves go wrong. Measured first, taken slowly with the right number of hands and straps, and the walls and banisters protected the whole way.
Piano as Part of a Move
Moving house and own a piano? It goes on the same truck as the rest, handled with its own care rather than tacked onto a general load and hoped for. One operator, one job.
Across Perth & Regional WA
From a suburban lounge room to a country hall, the piano is secured upright against the truck wall for the trip. Metro or regional, it rides braced so it arrives in tune with itself.
The Roll Is Easy. The Lift Is Everything.

Ask around and you'll find most removalists will take your piano, but few really want it. It's heavy, it's valuable, and one slip turns a cheap job into an expensive claim.
The danger isn't rolling it across a flat floor. It's the lift up a flight of stairs or into the truck, where the weight is high and a single bad grip does the damage.
Francis backs himself on exactly that lift. The proper gear, enough hands and 19 years of knowing how a piano moves is the difference between a smooth job and a cracked cabinet.
How Francis Moves a Piano
Wrapped first, lifted right, braced for the trip. The careful order that keeps a piano sounding like itself at the other end.

- 1
Send a Few Photos of the Piano
A few photos of the piano, the doorways and any stairs tell us what it takes. Upright, grand or digital, we'll confirm the plan and quote it honestly before the day.
- 2
Wrapped & On the Dolly
The piano is blanket-wrapped and padded, then eased onto the right trolley or skid for its type. A grand is carefully dismantled first so the legs and lyre travel separately and safe.
- 3
The Lift, Done Right
The hard part is the steps and the truck, not the roll. It's lifted slowly with enough hands and straps, walls protected, no heroics and no shortcuts on the heavy bit.
- 4
Braced for the Trip
Inside the truck the piano is stood upright against the padded wall and strapped tight so it can't shift. It comes off at the other end the same way it went on.
Treated Like It's Irreplaceable
Pianos don't forgive a rushed move. A dropped corner or a hard knock can put the action, the cabinet or the tuning out, and the repair often costs more than the move ever did.
So Francis treats every piano like it's irreplaceable, because to its owner it usually is. Wrapped before it moves, lifted with care and braced for the trip, by the same hands every time.
- Blanket-wrapped and padded before it leaves the spot
- The right dolly or skid for an upright, grand or digital
- Stairs measured and taken slowly with enough hands
- Walls, doorways and banisters protected on the way through
- Stood upright and strapped tight against the truck wall
